What We Believe
We believe development should be the focus in youth sports, not rings or rankings. We put development first, offering high level training to athletes that have the heart, work ethic and positive attitude. We not only teach the fundamentals of baseball but skills that build leaders and outstanding community members. Our athletes learn dedication, determination, resiliency, growth mindset and strength in team/community. Together we train, together we rise!
Core Values
Excellence is not an accident. We show up every day with purpose — in practice, in the classroom, and in life. Discipline is the foundation everything else is built on.
We respect the game, our opponents, our coaches, and ourselves. Respect is non-negotiable — it defines how a Phoenix player carries themselves at all times.
The phoenix rises from the ashes. We teach our players to embrace adversity, learn from failure, and come back stronger every single time.
We pursue excellence in everything we do. Not perfection — excellence. The relentless pursuit of being better today than we were yesterday.

Coaching Approach
Our coaches are more than instructors — they're mentors. We believe that the relationship between a coach and a player is one of the most powerful forces in a young person's development.
We combine elite technical instruction with intentional character development. Every drill has a purpose. Every conversation matters. We hold our players to high standards because we believe in their potential.
The Journey
Building fundamental skills, love for the game, and team-first mentality.

"THE SCOREBOARD DOESN'T DEFINE US. OUR CHARACTER DOES."
— Orlando Phoenix Baseball Coaching Staff
The Staff
Our coaches bring decades of playing and coaching experience — and a shared commitment to developing players on and off the field.
Manager
Coach Burger brings the experience of high level competition, youth coaching, and organization management to the team. Coach Burger played at East Carolina University and was a member of the National Championship Orange Park Storm. Coach Burger was also the president of a local Babe Ruth baseball league. Coach Burger's coaching philosophy is rooted in building a growth mindset in players, teaching them to not only trust the process but love it.
Coach
Drew grew up playing in the Oviedo area and played high school baseball as a pitcher at Oviedo High School. He went on to play at Daytona State College and Lakeland College in Ohio, and competed locally in the Florida Collegiate Summer League with the DeLand Suns. His experience on the mound shaped his understanding of pitching mechanics, situational baseball, and the mental side of the game. He focuses on fundamentals, consistency, accountability, and competing the right way.
Coach
Brandon grew up playing around the Winter Park area and played high school baseball at Trinity Prep before going on to play at Trinity University. After college he coached at Trinity Prep for 10 years as Head JV and Assistant Varsity coach, working with many players who went high D1 and were drafted. His philosophy is to find and focus on the unique strengths of each player rather than force them into a mold — built on fundamentals, focus, and hustle.
Coach
Manny played at Montverde Academy and continued his baseball career at the college level in Maryland before a career-ending arm injury led him to transition into coaching and mentoring young athletes. Committed to teaching discipline, teamwork, and fundamentals while helping athletes grow as players and individuals. Now focused on clinics and individual trainings, Manny brings his competitive playing experience to the Phoenix program, helping develop players at every level.
